In the heart of Columbus, Nebraska, we delivered a new splash pad at Glur Park, transforming the park into a, family-friendly destination for the community. The project was designed to enhance outdoor recreation opportunities and breathe new life into one of the City’s well-loved green spaces.
Featuring a variety of interactive water elements such as spray towers, ground jets, kid-sized water launchers, and gentle misting features, the splash pad offers a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for children of all ages. The layout was designed to encourage imaginative play, social interaction, and cooling relief during Nebraska’s warm summer months.
Beyond the play elements, attention was also given to accessibility, safety, and aesthetics. Slip-resistant surfaces, shaded seating areas, and accessible pathways were incorporated to ensure the splash pad could be enjoyed by families, caregivers, and park-goers of all abilities. Durable, low-maintenance materials were used to ensure long-term performance and ease of upkeep for City staff.
